Help Robert Stand!

Hi I am Joanne, Robert's mother, Robert is 27 years old, he is partially sighted, has a learning disability, brain damage, Hydrocephalus and he also has Cerebral Palsy which means that he relies on his wheelchair full time and at the moment he only see's the world from 2 positions either laying down or in the sitting position. I am fundraising to access a specialist standing frame for Robert to try and help reduce some of the health complications that are greatly influenced by the lack of movement Robert endures. The health benefits of this would be life changing to Robert as it would reduce the pressure on his organs whilst also assisting with building muscle strength and help gravity to

support his digestive system as he can suffer from impaction which is very painful.

Everyone that knows Robert can attest to the fact that he is one of the most outgoing, happy, funny and boisterous souls. Besides the health benefits the stand will also allow him to be able to gain a new perspective on the world, at his young age he's missing out on the ability to have a conversation without someone looking down or kneeling down to him, and it will also give him the ability to tower over Gav his Step dad =D.
