Give Indra a Chance to Walk

On May 20th, 2012, I run my first marathon in Richmond Park (Richmond Park Trail Marathon). I finished in 4h10 and it is truly the hope that Indra will walk soon as well as your support that kept me going and lifted me for the last 15km. Thank you all for your amazing generosity!!
Indra underwent 3 surgeries in St Louis, USA, in April and May. And the least we can say is that he is a new boy, starting a new life. Indra is now standing independently (while before he could stand for around 5 seconds) and he has taken his first step right before my marathon, just a month after his main surgery.
There is now a long way to recovery, but with the prospect of walking like a normal child, nothing can stop him now. He has a new bike, a new treadmill, and a new horse (electric one!!) and he is working hard every day.
One of the surgery Indra underwent is SDR ("Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy") that was performed by Dr T.S. Park; Dr Park has truly transformed Indra's potential in life. Thank you so much to the staff at St Louis hospital for their amazing work.
And of course your generosity has helped us so much and we feel very blessed. We have raised more than we could have hoped.

Donner à Indra la chance de marcher
Ce dimanche 20 Mai, j'ai courru mon premier marathon (marathon de Richmond Park) en 4h10. C'est veritablement l'espoir de voir Indra marcher seul, et votre support a tous qui m'a donner des ailes pour les derniers 15km.
Indra a subi 3 interventions chirurgicales en avril et en mai. Le moins qu'on puisse dire est qu'il est un nouveau garcon, avec de nouvelles jambes. Le jour du marathon Indra se tenait deja debout sans aide (alors que limite a 5 secondes avant l'operation) et il a deja fait son premier pas seul!! Simplement incroyable.
Le long processus de re-education commence, mais rien ne peut l'arreter maintenant. Indra a deja un nouveau velo, un tapis roulant et un cheval (electrique!!) et il travaille dur tous les jours.
Une des interventions qu'Indra a subi est la risothomie ("Risothomie Dorsale Selective"). Un tout grand merci au Dr Park et son staff de l'hopital de St Louis pour leur travail extraordinaire.
Et encore un grand merci a vous tous pour votre generosite. Nous avons recolte bien plus qu'espere.
