It's my life long dream to go to Paris and there's a fantastic opportunity available for me this Spring Break (March 18-28). However, I need some help getting there!
If I can get enough funds, I will be going with Umpqua Community College and my old French teacher, NiAodagain!
However, I need to commit to this in order to get a spot which means I need to know that I will have the money long before it's needed in order to book flights, hotels, etc... It also helps guarantee that we get a group rate for these various things.
Very recently, I got into an accident which smashed up my car, so now I'm driving my old car which doesn't run as well and has problems with the headlight switch. These problems were the reason I got the newer car. Since the accident was "my fault" I will not be covered in these expenses in getting that fixed, so immediately I thought that this trip wouldn't be possible.
My folks can't help much because my father's a dislocated worker and they're trying to support three mortgages and my sister's four kids as well as the two sisters who live at home.
The only way I can get to Paris this spring is with the help of all of you! Don't worry-- I'm going to work on getting a seasonal job to help out, too! I'm very excited and really have my heart set on this trip! Especially after the accident, I really feel like I need something positive to work for and look forward to!
