Help for Maggie

this sweet girl was found abandoned on the side of the road about a week ago. she stayed around the area for several days but nobody claimed her as theirs. i think she was possibly put out due to her declining health/older age. we picked     her up 2 days ago and she had her first vet visit today. she had a negative heartworm test! they estimated she is around 10 years old & a beautiful coonhound weighing in at 68lbs. she seems to be putting on some weight which     is such good news as she is still decently emaciated.
she has been eating and drinking well and has had fairly good output. at today’s visit she received her yearly vaccinations, deworming medication (as a preventative measure), flea/tick/heartworm prevention medications, and antibiotics for the infection in her eyes, ears, and urine. as for the mass on her abdomen, she was diagnosed with a canine mammary tumor. we were told she must have it surgically removed ASAP before a rupture occurs, leading to euthanization. it is unknown if the mass is malignant or benign as this requires biopsy upon surgical removal. we will be scheduling her surgery for the upcoming week or so and would appreciate your love & kind thoughts as we were told it  would be a “major abdominal operation.” the vet recommended maggie be spayed during the procedure as neglecting to do so would likely lead to the development of many more mammary tumors with the changes in hormones during each heat  cycle. today’s vet visit was $198. the typed-up estimate for the operation(s)  shows it will cost $390. this gofundme was created in an attempt to assist with her vet bills. absolutely any help at all would be greatly appreciated. i understand maggie is an old dog but i don’t think she’s lived a very good life over the past 10    years. therefore i really want to give her the best life we can for what time she has left. i know i can’t save every dog & my heart breaks for all of them without good  homes. but i know i can help this one and one is better than none. she so deserves all the love in the world.
