My name is Sonya and I am here with permission from Cindy Frezon to take a minute to share Cindy's situation with everyone.
In 2004, Cindy's mother passed away leaving Cindy as the sole caregiver of her dad Donald Frezon. Most of Cindy's friends simply called him Dad just like she does. Dad was a friendly and straightforward man who always told it like he saw it and you never ever sat in his presence without sincerely laughing at his constant jokes.
I personally have known Cindy and Dad for almost 9 years. In that time, I have watched Dad battle heart disease, COPD, kidney disease and finally bladder cancer. During these years I have witnessed Cindy trying to work a full time job while still giving her father round the clock personal care. She was there for every doctor's appointment and every trip to the hopsital. There were so many times that I watched her struggle for cash as well as time but through it all she refused to ask for help and she never gave up. Cindy's dad was her father, her roomate and her best friend. I know for a fact that losing him is difficult for her on so many levels. Sadly we don't want to think of money in a time such as losing a loved one but the truth is... it's expensive. Cindy is a one income household and she has lost so much time at work while being with her dad throughout his ordeal. She has no savings and no financial backing to help her cover the cost of nursing home bills as well as the final arrangments.
I am here to implore each of you to reach out to Cindy in her time of need. Show her your love by lending her a hand with any donation that you feel led to give. She is too proud to ask for help, as always but I personally have never met anyone who has been there for other people like Cindy. It's time that she get some help herself instead of always being the one to lend a hand. Let's all band togehter to help her relieve some of the financial burden of losing her father. Let's show our love in a way that she so desperately needs right now.
