My dad's funeral services

Thai Vang. That's his name. He was a John Doe for a few hours until the police finally figure out who he was.

On Sunday, 10/19/2014, around 4:30pm, two officers came by our house and asked if we knew who Thai Vang was, where he went and what kind of car did he drive. My mom told the officers the details and then was told that my dad was taken to the hospital.

When we got there, we were told that he had a stroke that caused him to hemorrhage on his left side of his brain and it was pushing his left side brain to his right side. He was pronounced brain dead. He was then transported to the ICU and put on life support. After 24 hours and no improvements on his health, we as a family decided that it is better to withdraw nutritional support and ventilation from my dad, because he was in a persistent vegetative state and we didn't want him to suffer anymore.

My dad is described as a lovable person, a funny person, a person that brightens up your day. He didn't deserve to pass away. At least not like this.

With this donation that you are making, it is going towards his funeral services, medical expenses and legal expenses. We hope that justice will be served, so my dad will be able to rest in peace knowing that everything is taken care of.

The world was a terrible place, cruel, pitiless, and dark as a bad dream. Not a good place to live. But I know deep inside, not everyone is like this.

On 10/20/2014, at 3:44pm, God's Kingdom gained an angel that day.

Today we lost a very dear person to us. Words cannot explain what we are feeling, but we will remember the advices you gave us to better our life, to better ourselves, and to better the people we surround ourselves with.

You may be gone dad, but never forgotten.
