UNG Wrestling Team Cash to Compete

The North Georgia Wrestling Club was founded to fill in the gap lost by so many wrestling teams being dropped in the state of Georgia. We were founded to give North Georgia student wrestlers the opportunity to travel and compete at the collegiate level in the great U.S. South-Eastern Conference. Wrestling is not a school sponsored sport due to Title IX rules within the Peach Belt Conference, so we can only be a club sport at North Georgia. That has not stopped this determined group from joining the National Collegiate Wrestling Association, and setting their goals high to travel and compete at other schools. However, the uniforms, fees, and travel is a great deal of money for a group of college students to afford by themselves. So now we have hit  a wall, if we can not raise the money we can not afford to compete. If we can not compete as a club, the school will not find it worth their time to keep us as an organization on campus. If we don't get the money to pay for uniforms and fees, we face extinction. For anyone who has ever started an organization or has any love for the great sport of wrestling, I urge you to donate money or just to spread our story. Wrestling has provided many young men the vehicle to success and a feeling of true accomplishment few sports can ever give. Help these young men that want to continue their wrestling careers, and help us raise the money to continue as a sport at the great University of North Georgia.
