In Memory of a loving Mother & Wife

Zenaida Fulgencio, fondly known as Tita Zeny, was a loving mother to seven children, a remarkable wife to her husband, Geronimo, a doting sister and a wonderful friend. Her strong faith to the Lord was admirable. She was really a blessing to the whole family. Her sudden demise has brought us great sorrow and pain such that we can't even imagine that she is now gone.
On Saturday, August 11, 2018, while visiting in Los Angeles for Summer vacation, our mom was fatally struck by a car while she was crossing the street. Our dad, Geronimo, and other witnesses tried to revive her, but sadly, she died instantly due to her injuries.
Mom was a selfless and dedicated teacher in the Philippines. When she moved to the USA six years ago, she continued with her passion or education and love of young people as a lecturer at the University of Michigan (UM) Center for Southeast Asian Languages. She was hardworking faculty of the school continuously sharing her expertise in the Filipino language and imparting the uniqueness if Philippine culture to her students. She was eager to go back for the Fall and Winter terms, but sadly, this is not to happen anymore.
The entire family is in disbelief of her sudden and tragic passing up to this moment but we have accepted this life-changing event. We are grieving and at the same time worried as we are not in a good position financially to cope with the expenses related to our mother's passing. We humbly appeal to our family, relatives, friends and everyone whose lives have been touched by our good-hearted mother one way or another for some assistance. We ask for any amount you can spare, to help cover her funeral services expenses.
