Dear Family and Friends
As many of you may know, Our beloved family member Naketa (Fadale) Andrews
was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in June of 2019. He had to undergo months of chemotherapy and was in need of a bone marrow transplant. By the grace of God, his brother Gregory was a match and Naketa went through a successful Transplant in December 2019.
While his prognosis for a full recovery is very hopeful, he has had to endure a number or debilitating side -affects.
He has experience vision loss due to his treatments and also suffers from neuropathy that makes it difficult to remain on his feet for any extended amount of time. These things coupled with the fact that he is extremely immunocompromised make it nearly impossible for Naketa to earn a living.
As you can imagine, his illness has had a devastating impact on his finance and quality of life. He had to cash out on his IRA account and has depleted his savings account.
He has looked into a number of grants and financial aide, but these are limited and extremely hard to come by.
Because of this we are reaching out to friends and family asking for any assistance you might be able to offer. Any size donation would be appreciated to eased the burden on Naketa.
Naketa is very optimistic about returning to a normal life in the near future. but as of this moment he needs all of our help to sustain himself until he makes a full recovery. All money collected will go directly to be used for medical expenses, vision treatments, housings and day to day expenses, any unused funds Naketa would like to donate to St. Judes Hospital.
