Frank's Medical Needs

This GoFundMe account is built on behalf of my brother, Frank Rocha. My oldest brother, Frank, has been through more than any one of us would want to imagine. Due to side effects from his diabetes, his heart and kidney took a beating. He spent 6 years on dialysis and was placed on a kidney transplant list. Upon waiting on the transplant he suffered 3 heart attacks, Doctors eventually disagnosed him with heart failure his heart was begining to shut down. After a very stressful and emotional year of being on the heart/kidney transplant list, we got a call that he was being blessed with a new heart/kidney, donor had became available. Frank underwent surgery and recieved a heart and kidney transplant up at UCSF. Thanks to God, everything went well with the transplant. The next morning, when we were visiting him, the nurse was doing a routine examination when they noticed that he was not able to move his legs. Doctors believe that during the heart transplant his spine was deprived of blood flow and oxygen, causing a spinal stroke, and his paralysis. The days we had imagined of walking and playing with his kids were not going to be as easy as we imagined.
Here is where we are asking for your help.
Unfortunately, their private insurance and Medicare won't cover everything that they need.
The money we are trying to raise will be used to purchase and install a Milford Personal Lift, into their vehicle. This device has an arm that reaches out and helps lift Frank from his wheel chair and places him into the passanger seat. This would remove the risk of his son or his wife from injurying themselves when transfering Frank into the car. Just imagine, how easily you and I, hop in the car and run around town. Every stop. Every store. Every doctor appotinment. This lift would be a huge help in making every day errands possible.
We have contacted and begun the ordering process for the lift. Now, we just need to pay for it. I am asking you, this Holiday weekend, can you donate to a worthy cause? Can you help us raise the money to pay for this lift. Anabel is already working around the clock. She really is SuperWoman, providing for her Husband and kids. If you have been to an OHS football game, you see her helping fundraise for the band kids all of the time. You would never imagine the struggle and despair she faces every day.
Our goal is $6000 to pay for the lift. Anything we can raise helps reduce the burden on the family. Thank you for every and any donation that you can make.
