G. Douglas Seitsinger Needs Us

Hello friends. Our friend, G. Douglas Seitsinger, aka The Icon, aka The Elegant Drifter, had a heart attack and is now being treated at Universty Medical Center in Las Vegas, where he lives. As of this writing, he is undergoing a catheter test to determine if he is a candidate for a stent. Depending on what his doctors find, he may need more serious surgery. There are more questions than answers right now.
As many of you know, GDS is a Door Ambassador (his words) for The Bunkhouse and The Atomic Bar. No matter what his medical diagnosis and upcoming treatment and recovery, he will need help with rent and what will surely be an onslaught of medical bills. Like so many Americans, he is lightly insured (if at all).
He has already expressed concern about paying his rent, so I see that as an immediate need, not only for March, but several months going forward. His rent is $800 per month and I'd love to see that taken care of through June. For now, any we raise beyond that can go toward medical expenses.
His closest friends are rallying to his aid ... I'm not sure who among us could go to Vegas for physical assistance, but he has a spare bedroom, so accomodations would not be an issue. As I learn more, I will post updates. I've chosen the goal of $5K, which I know is conservative, but once he knows what's in store, the goal may change.
