Kim Wheeler's Recovery Fund

Donation protected
On October 16th, 2014, Kim was critically injured in a car crash when her vehicle hit a tree head-on. Kim was brought to Monadnock Hospital and once stabilized, was life flighted to UMASS in Worcester.  Her condition was stable but grave. She underwent emergency surgery upon arrival and remains in ICU with major abdominal trauma, a skull fracture, and a severe compound fracture of the lower leg/ankle.

Kim is a single mother, who has been working 2 jobs to support herself and her daughter Brooke, who is in her freshman year of college in Alabama.

Kim has been an elementary school teacher in Rindge for over 6 years and is currently also employed with Monadnock Developmental Services part-time.

Kim is a fighter and has a long road ahead of her, but is stable and alert and was able to speak with her family today. She recently passed her 5 years as a breast cancer survivor and we know she will fight to come back from these injuries just as hard... But she will need our help!

Please consider helping with the financial burden of Kim's recovery and the care of her household and her daughter.  There is no definite timeline yet for the length of her recovery, but numerous surgeries are expected in the coming weeks.

Please keep Kim, her family and her countless friends in your thoughts and prayers and check back for updates on her progress.

(This fund has been established by me, Christine Rondeau-Fryer, as Kim's childhood friend for over 30 years.  Please contact me through GoFundMe or FB message me if you have further inquiries.)
