Give Danya a Break
In 2009 Danya's life changed forever, her much-loved young husband Bill contracted a rare life-threatening condition that left him permanently disabled and clinging to life.
Rather than move him into an aged-care facility Danya made the decision to keep him at home and care for him herself so that she and their three children could share his remaining time in a safe and secure home environment.
Life has been an incredible struggle for Danya since then; caring for a seriously invalided husband and three children on very limited means. Money is so tight that Danya goes without many things the rest of us take for granted to ensure that neither Bill, nor the children, go without but she has not had a proper break from caring in five years.
A group of friends and family are organising some holiday respite care for Bill so that Danya can have a break, recharge her batteries, and then continue to be the awesome wife and mother than she is.
This fund has been set up to help organise a trip for Danya to go to London and catch a once-in-a-lifetime show and a day of The Ashes.
