Furnace replacement needed ASAP

Awoke on 1/4/18 to find a non-functioning furnace (natural gas) and w house temp of 50 degrees. After a local HVAC professional repaired the thermocouple for the pilot and burner as well as the electric transformer/ circuit it was found that the 1981 Williamson forced hot air furnace had seen the end of its life. All just before the coldest weekend of the year (-4 degrees here in NEPA). The old heating beast cannot be repaired, but must be replaced. Repeated calls to local and county organizations and agencies have been made with no help forthcoming. As the main heat source in the house it is imperative to restore warmth ASAP.
A new furnace is needed for heat in house in which our disable handicapped son lives. We provide total care for him. We have been without main heat for a week now and cuddling around space heaters. A replacement furnace would cost about 3500, and only have $1000 to our name. EVERY local and state agency refused to help, state representatives refused (one said that they don’t get involved with this type of thing", and my employer, who has an employee emergency fund, said no because a broken furnace in winter and no heat they consider "routine replacement" and not an emergency.
We both work full time, I actually have 2 additional part time jobs. Kim is a wonderful, strong, hard working mother who works full time as a therapist for abused children. Living at home is her son Jeremy is severely disabled and handicapped. Asking for help is the last thing considered but 2018 has already hit pretty hard. We do not have enough to cover total cost of furnace replacement. The state will permanently remove our handicapped son and file “neglect and unsafe living conditions” against us because of no main heat source in house.
We humbly ask for any donation, however small, to try to reach enough to keep our family together and our house warm.
