Michelle Reilly is a wildlife ecology researcher who works for the USFWS. As her friends and colleagues, we know what a talented and hard working person she is. She was recently promoted to a job in another state, and was in the middle of preparing to move, when the furlough hit. This risks her daughter’s enrollment in childcare and her housing. As a single parent, with a child in daycare, this loss of funding has caused tremendous upheaval in their lives. She has even started doing odd jobs to make ends meet. So we put this fundraiser together to help bridge the gap until the government reopens, and buffer the costs incurred due to the lapse in income. Learn more about Michelle’s story here, as it was covered by the local news.
