On the night of January 20, 2018 my son Ladarian Trevon Welch became a victim of senseless gun violence. According to witnesses, while standing in front of his grandmother's residence with a close friend, on the 13700 block of Willie Melton Blvd in Kendleton TX; a car pulled up and a man got out and began shooting. It was said that, the shooter showed up to the location where Ladarian was allegedly involved in an argument with the shooter’s twin brother, earlier that evening. Investigators said the suspect was considered armed and dangerous. The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office later confirmed that the shooter was in custody. The gunman took my one and only child, leaving my family and I grieving. This was very unexpected and now I’m asking any and every one for donations to help me give my son a proper burial.
