Help Connie with end of life care & Funeral cost

Connie is a 39 year old single mother of 3 who has been sick for almost a year and was just diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. For the pasted year she has lived with constant debilitating pain, which she still suffers from and has rendered her unable to work. Connie is 5'9 and went from 170 to 100 pounds over a four month period. She spent much of the past year going back and forth to many Doctors trying to figure out what was wrong, and had been unable to get assistance as she was told by Doctor's that it was all in her head . She has had to have her mother and family start caring for her and helping with simple tasks, such as cooking, getting around, dressing or even showing, from lack of strength. The only time she has felt any comfort from pain was the 5 weeks she spent in the hospital just prior to her diagnosis.

At this point Connie had multiple surgery's to identify her illness, as well as surgery to correct damage to her stomach as a result of the cancer. She is on multiple meds to manage her pain and keep her as comfortable as possible. She has been a trooper through it all but is now facing the reality of her life ending in the near future.

Currently Connie is living with family that help care for her and takes her to all of her appointments, but she is waiting on medical assistance to help in paying for medications and travel to these appointments. As Connie will be going through Chemo to extend life and palliative pain care; she hopes to see her youngest daughter graduate but there is little certainty she will make even six months. Life expectancy with this type of Cancer is very limited and the likelihood that Connie will see her 40th Birthday in August is extremely unlikely. This is not a type of cancer that was expected or even identified as a possibility within the family history so the news and very sudden and heartbreaking.

As Connie is still very young she did not expect or plan financially for the end of her life so soon. Connie does not have the financial security of life insurance or a pervious job to help her pay for extended health services such travel, pain medications or funeral costs. Any amount would help in being able to take the burden of these costs off of Connie and her family as she prepares for her end of life. Please help Connie's kids and family meet this goal so they can plan a respectful end of Life celebration for Connie.
