Funeral Service. Congolese Refugee
The Congolese Community of Cedar rapids; would like to ask for donations to cover the funeral service of our Sister and Mother Aziza Nikuze, who was died in a car accident when she was leaving for work on Thursday, January 04, 2018, in Cedar rapids, IOWA; at around 05:00 in the morning.
Aziza Nikuze was a courageous and generous woman who left 5 children including 4 girls and a boy, aged 2, 10, 14, 17 and 19 years old.
Azize was born in DR Congo, on December 1, 1977, in Maniema province, however because of the political situation and the war conflicts in the Eastern of the D.R. Congo, Azize moved to Rwanda in a refugee camp where she lived for 17 years and lost her husband with whom she had her children. Few years ago, she moved to Houston, U.S as refugee and moved with her kids to Cedar Rapids, Iowa in August 2018, looking for a better job to feed her kids.
Aziza left behind her 5 children without any insurance or money to cover the funeral, and the Congolese community in Cedar Rapids is very small, that’s why we feel the big necessity to ask to people of good will, to please help to donate some money to cover the burial services which is fixed at Ten thousand dollars. We would like to bury our Sister Azize on Sunday, January 14 if we get that money.
No amount is little, any amount is deeply welcomed and appreciated.
Please do not hesitate to contact Aziza’s brother, Kikuni Lucio if you have any questions or suggestions
We are grateful in advance for your support!
