Funeral Funding for Carla
February 21st, our sister Carla lost her battle with addiction. This was a battle that she fought
everyday of her life until the devil finally won. We know she fought addiction and I’m sure some of
you will be thinking “why should we help pay for an addicts funeral, she should have just stopped
using”. Well I am going to tell you things you don’t
know. What you don’t know about Carla the
person and not Carla the addict. Carla was a
mother of 7 year old Rylan, she loved this little boy more than anything in the world and now he will
grow up with pictures and memories of her instead of growing up with her. She was a sister and an
aunt who loved her nieces and nephews like crazy. She was a niece. Carla was a daughter and her
mother and father are beside themselves right
now. No parent should ever have to bury their child. I am not going to sugar coat this because I know people feel strongly over drug addiction and think
it’s just something you can turn off. I’m not going to lie, I was one of those people. Over the last few
days I have learned so much about addiction and
drugs and I have learned no matter how strong you are and no matter how many days, weeks, years sober you are, addiction is a battle you fight for the rest of your life. I did not ask for the whole cost of
the funeral, however I am asking for help with a
portion as Carla did not have life insurance. If you
can find it in your heart to help we will be forever
grateful❤️
Thank you for taking the time to read this and I
pray for all of the families that are left with the
aftermath of losing a family member to addiction.
