Funeral Fund for Noe — Queens Delivery Worker

My name is Jairo B. Amador Tolentino, I am a delivery worker and the cousin of Noe Amador Licona. Last night, September 10, 2021, Noe was killed while on duty with the delivery apps as a delivery worker in Sunnyside, Queens.

Noe migrated from Tulancingo de Bravo, Hildalgo, Mexico to Astoria, Queens in 2016. He migrated to New York in search of a better life for his wife and his 6-year old, Noe Amador Jr.

Since 2016, he has served this city as a delivery worker through the restaurants and through the Relay and Grubhub. In 2020, Noe became an essential worker, working 12 hours a day, seven days a week for the apps, delivering food to Queens residents. He did not deserve to die this way. He was only 32 years old and dreamed of being able to see his son again.

Sadly, he won’t be able to see his family again. We are raising funds to cover his funeral expenses and support his wife and son. Unfortunately, we don’t make enough money doing this work and we are hoping to count with the support of the community to be able to cover all funeral costs and be able to provide some financial support to his family. We welcome your support during difficult times.

As an organized community and as part of Los Deliveristas Unidos— we committed to seek justice for my cousin and all delivery workers.
