Funeral for Misty Brooks

Her death was unexpected, but Misty suffered from drug addiction. For years we feared that it would claim her life.  Thursday, I watched through teary eyes in horror as my baby sister slipped away from us. When Misty died, a part of me died with her. I still can’t even wrap my head around it. She left this world way too soon. Misty could always bring a smile to anyone’s face, make you laugh until you cried. She was outspoken,  yet she’d do anything for anyone. She wanted to keep every animal she came across and played every child she came in contact with. She made friends everywhere she went.  Misty believed in second chances, maybe because she craved one for herself and other addicts. She could always find the diamond in the rough.  She had a lot of demons and struggled with them everyday. I hope she’s found some peace on the other side. I know my life will never be the same.  I’ll miss her everyday for the rest of my life.  Misty had no life insurance and as you know funerals are quite expensive. I’m trying to relieve my mom of some of some of the financial burden.
