Funeral for Joseph Slick

And yet, it is always a surprise when it happens to someone we know. It is like walking up the stairs to your bedroom in the dark and thinking there is one more stair than there is. Your foot falls down, through the air, and there is a sickly moment of dark surprise as you try and readjust the way you thought of things.”

Death is sad enough when anticipated, but even harder when unexpected. As you may or may not know, Joseph Slick passed away on the 6th of April very suddenly. His daughter, Sidney Slick is his next of kin. As a young 20-year-old, Sidney was not expecting to have to cope with this sudden loss let alone the final will of her father. To ease this burden, I have decided to start a GoFundMe so that Joseph may be laid to rest in Iowa as requested in his final will and so that Sidney may have one less thing to worry about as she moves through the stages of grief.

“My dad worked very hard to raise me. My dad got me into MMA and he was at every fight I had. My Dad’s main passion in life was the sport of MMA and he always invested in my career as a fighter.”
We are kindly asking for donations to lay Joseph to rest, and the rest of the proceeds will go to helping Sidney get on her feet. Anything helps during this dire time. Thank you.
