Funeral Expenses -Megashnee International Student

Hi, my name is Beulah Alexander, and I am reaching out to you today to seek your support in raising funds for the funeral costs of my Friend Megashnee Shanmugam.

Our beloved Megashanee Shanmugam, 25 years old from Thrissur, Kerala, South India, was a girl with great ambition and potential who moved our hearts with her bold & enthusiastic spirit. She came to Canada in 2020 to explore life and achieve her goals. But Life had different plans.

Mega was diagnosed with stage 4 Sarcoma cancer around May 2022 and was receiving treatment since then, in such a short time, she suffered great pain due to aggressive cancer and disability during the last couple of months. She was a real fighter, a girl who didn't want to lose to cancer. Her fight was long and tiring. We all hoped for her to be back and live her life like she wished to.

unfortunately, her fight came to an end on March 10, 2023 - the day we lost a brave and strong friend.

Being friends & family to such a lovely soul, we feel blessed to have known Mega during her course.

We are all devasted by her loss and were not prepared for the high costs of cremation & funeral services. We want to give Mega the funeral & memorial she deserves, to honor her memory and say our last goodbyes. Mega is the sole daughter of Her parents. Her parents took out an education loan to support her and were depending on Mega financially while in she lived in Canada. They desire to have her cremated in Canada and we are asking for donations to help cover the cost of Mega's funeral and support her Parents at this difficult time. Her remains are currently held at a Funeral home until her parents arrive in Canada.

Myself,Nartha, Srinath & Sharath Ravi together, will have to raise $15,000 at the earliest, We will be using this fund to make arrangements for her funeral service and facilitate her parent's travel and stay here in Canada.

I have listed Sharath Ravi as the beneficiary to receive the funds to a bank account that is solely assigned for Mega's Funeral and arrangements.

Any contributions over and above the initial costs of funeral services will be used to support the needs of Megashnee’s Parents in India or go towards her education loan. Thank you for taking the time to read this message and for your compassion and support.
