Funeral Expenses - Luddy Reynolds

On New Years Day 2021 we got the unimaginable, devastating news that our brother/son/mate Luddy Reynolds passed away in a tragic accident while celebrating the new year with his mates.

So many people contributed to bringing up these beautiful boys'.  For the last 15 years, I have watched them grow up into the most amazing men, knowing that Luddy will no longer be in this world is heartbreaking, though, he will continue to make an impact for years to come.

I had discussed with Luddy & Justin only weeks ago the opportunity to reunite them with their birth mother Anna Kaira through my charity as she misses them so much. Sadly that day will never come for Luddy.

To support the Reynolds family during this time, I would like to raise funds to contribute to the cost of laying Luddy to rest & celebrating his life.
By giving his family one less thing to worry about, we can give them time to mourn & reflect on Luddy's life.

Who am I?
For those of you who don't know me, my name is EmmyLee and I have been incredibly close with Chris, Rachel, Luddy, and family for over 15 years, I have been there celebrating every milestone of this beautiful family over the years. I am, as we all are, devastated about the loss of Luddy and want to help in any way we can.

The response to this fundraiser & the generosity of each and every one of you just shows yet again, the impact Luddy had on so many of you.

Distribution of funds:
As intended, the funds raised will cover the full cost of Luddy's funeral and memorials.
In the interest of transparency, we would like to advise that the funds will be distributed as follows:

Main funeral including his cremation and celebration of life to be held on Thursday 14th January 2021. Cost:  $15,500.

A 'paddle out' into the ocean to lay wreaths, scatter Luddy's ashes, and spend the day publically celebrating his life on Saturday 16th January 2021. Cost: $2,000

As most of you know, Luddy's birth mother Anna lives in PNG and will be unable to fly to Australia. A traditional funeral/wake will be held in PNG.  Cost $2,500

The GoFundMe funds will be released into the EmmyLee Foundation bank account which is audited regularly.
An independent party has been appointed to manage the distribution of funds which will include attending to any 'yet to be paid' invoices directly.
Any expenses already incurred in making arrangements will be reimbursed to that individual upon presentation of a receipt.
It is important to the foundation and Luddy's family that all of the generous donors have complete transparency over the use of their donations can see how they have contributed to the beautiful send-off and celebration of the life of Luddy Reynolds. x
