Funeral Expenses for Sahiyd Thomas

Our church, International Baptist Church of Spartanburg, SC had the joy of first meeting Sahiyd and his precious family as we knocked on his door to invite him and his siblings to church last year. This was the beginning of a wonderful relationship with Sahiyd. After a few weeks of coming to church, he made the most important decision of his life--to trust Jesus Christ as his Saviour!
Sahiyd continued to grow and became a huge part of IBC. His smile and laugh were contagious. His concern for others was obvious and his love for his siblings was a great example. His selfless attitude showed up on the basketball court as part of the Upstate Bearcats. His joy impacted his friends at Dorman High School.
Sahiyd and his brother attended a camp out on Friday night and when his younger brother was in trouble in the water, the last thing Sahiyd did was to push his brother toward safety.
We rejoice that Sahiyd is in Heaven with his Saviour, but mourn the loss of such a wonderful 15 year old leader.
There are six children in the Thomas family and they are in need of a miracle to happen in order to take care of the expenses of the funeral.
The approximate cost will be $5000. International Baptist Church will be responsible for the withdrawal and then use these funds for the Thomas family. Gifts given through this website will go directly to IBC, and then to take care of this great need.
