Daddy served as the Bay County Fair Manager for 23 years. Daddy also served in the Air Force for 21 years. He was the commander of American Legion Post 66 and presented high school JROTC members with their medals every year. Daddy also coached baseball for many years.

Daddy was known for always helping someone. He never met a stranger.
