Funeral Expenses for Jeremiah Richter

Donation protected
Jeremiah (Jerry) Richter, son of Donald and Norma Richter, died on Nov. 7, 2019 in Hurricane, Utah as a result of a motorcycle accident when leaving work. Jerry had a 17-year-old passenger on the back of the motorcycle, and he gave his helmet to the younger passenger to make sure he would be safe. He was always conscientious about safety. However, as fate would have it, he lost control of the bike and entered the path of a truck with a trailer. Although the elderly driver tried desperately to steer clear of the riders, a horrible accident ensued that instantly took Jerry’s precious life. The passenger with Jerry’s helmet, however,  survived.

The Richter family rushed to the scene of the accident where they stood vigil for hours, in shock and devastation, while 24-year-old Jerry’s lifeless body lay on the pavement covered by a sheet. After Jerry’s remains were carefully transported away, a police chaplain came to the broken family to answer questions and offer comfort. He explained that Jerry was a hero, essentially giving his life so his friend would survive.

The family now grieves the unthinkable loss of their beloved one taken from this earth far too soon. They have many expenses associated with the funeral, burial and final sendoff of Jeremiah Joseph Richter. Any contribution to these funeral expenses would help reduce stress during this heartbreaking time of tragedy.
