Funeral Expenses for Jan “JL” Tompkins

Friends & Family of JL and The Tompkins Family,
It is with deep sadness that we inform everyone of JL’s passing on November 11, 2020. JL has always been a provider for his family but suffered many health issues in the past years that has caused complications with life insurance coverage extensions due to pre-existing health conditions.
The family has now encountered unforeseen expenses and are in need of financial assistance. We all want to help Pat, Dereck, Trisha, Roberto & the Grandkids give JL a proper, honorable service. No donation is too small.

Jan "JL" Tompkins passed away on November 11, 2020 to a hard battle against lung cancer and heart failure. Although he was always such a strong man, he lost his strength and could no longer fight his last fight.
Jan was always worried about taking care of his family as they were always his top priority. He especially did everything he could to make sure his son was always well taken care of since he was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy as a baby, over 50 years ago.
Jan had his first scare with cancer of the throat back in the early 2000's which forced him into early retirement. HIs cancer treatments could no longer allow him to do the physical job of being an electrician that he worked as for the last 30+ years. He did what he could to make sure his retirement was in place as best as it could be as well as his life insurance policy. But due to the fact he had a history of cancer and his policy was about to expire, once he turned 70 years old, he tried to renew it or even get a new policy but was unable to afford anything that was offered due to his medical history. Then he got hit with lung cancer and was out of luck to be able to ensure his family was well taken care of in the wake of his passing.
Although he worked his whole life to do right, and make sure all was taken care of, it still was not enough. His wife is now left on a very fixed income while still having the responsibilities of trying to keep her and her disable son living in the same house that they know. Because things will be tight for the family, they will need help securing the last bit of funeral expenses that are due. Jan had some of these expenses pre-paid prior to his death but could not manage to do it all.
Due to retirement funds lost from his death, there are no extra funds to help cover these last expenses. The family is asking please for any donation that will help cover the final funeral costs and burial as there is not enough money to help close this gap. Jans family, especially his son, is asking this to give them peace of mind and the means of staying inside their familiar home as he can now live out the rest of his life along with the memories of Jan. Thank you for any considerable donation.
