Funeral home cost for Howard Guidry Jr & Family

During the early hours of March 8th, 2020 an "acute respiratory event" took my husband Howard. He was not tested for covid-19 so we do not know for certain whether he had the virus. Health authorities we're not testing in our community and insisted it was not a factor. He had some health issues that made him susceptible to respiratory illnesses. His symptoms started with confusion and a seizure, he fell during the seizure and fractured a few of his transverse processes. The doctor in the ER kept him for pain management. within a day Howard had a cough and fever. His condition worsened bit the doctor said on March 7th he could be home by Tuesday March 10th, he died that night of ARDS. We were just married on February 14th 2020, but Howard has been my best friend for 25 years. I don't know how I will survive without him, on the days where chronic pain made it hard to walk he looked after me. He will be greatly missed by our family and friends. Known affectionately as Bubbie, 'H', and Uncle Bubbie to his neices and nephews he was the family comedian, chef and resident magician. Howard loved to sing karaoke and had a beautiful voice. He joined his mother DellaMae and sister Monica in the Creator's embrace. Howard worked in sales for most of his career and also served in the United States Army for almost 2 years. Initially we were trying to get Howard home to family and friends in Virginia Beach but with Coronavirus, lack of resources and a dip in donations those plans were cancelled. Howard's service was then going to be held here in Boise on April 7th but due to the Coronavirus restrictions it has also been cancelled. The staff at the funeral home have took great care of Howard. They were patient with our situation and the uncertainty it has created. We had hoped hoped meet this summer to have a memorial. The pandemic has prevented that.
