Georgetta Rodgers passed on yesterday after suffering a heart attack on Wednesday. For those of you that knew George, you can probably still hear an echo of her laugh. The Rodgers family has been a part of my life for over 25 years and it did not take long for Georgetta to tell me to call her “Mama G”, and mother me she did even when I wrecked her car.

George’s life was about her children, Jason and Katie. They were her world, and now they need our help. The cost of a funeral is expensive and the last thing Jason and Katie need is to be worrying about money. Let’s take that burden off them. I know Jason and Katie would (probably) have done the same for you because that is how they were raised. Friends and family never had a distinction in the Rodgers household. It is time for us to show them how big their family is.
