Funeral Expenses for Derick Almond

On January 6,2017 at 10:41 a.m. God called one of his angels home. Derick Almond, was a great husband, father, sibling, son and friend. Who made a impact on everyone he came in contact with and even though our hearts are heavy, we are at peace knowing that he is no longer suffering and in pain. For a lot of those who do not know, my father was diagnosed with stage 4 colon Cancer six months ago in early July. My father had overcome many battles during his life, but cancer was something no one was prepared for and unfortunately even after enduring numerous treatments of chemotherapy and radiation, the cancer spread aggressively and began to cripple him. Though despite all, my father continued to keep fighting and even though the cancer was causing him so much agony and pain, he stayed in good spirits still being that source of inspiration, love and faith all the way up to the end.

Now that my father has been called to join the Lord in heaven, we would love to give him the funeral that he deserves. Unfortunately, since my father had stop working due to the illness, our home had become a single income household, which caused a great strain on our financial situation. It has got progressively worse due to the funeral expenses. We are reaching out to you (our family, friends, and community) or anyone who is able and willing to help, to give any contribution big or small and it would be greatly appreciated.
