Funeral Expenses for Bert Williams

As most of you know we lost my father Bert Williams on Oct 29th, 2017. He was an amazing husband, father and friend. We were not ready to let go but we can now be happy that he no longer is in pain.
Funeral expenses can never come at a good time and are sometimes a substantial hardship. We were fortunate that he had already prepaid for the large costs but we still have quite a lot to cover. In lieu of flowers we are asking for donations. Any little bit helps.
Here is what I wrote for his Obituary:
"Bert was born in Baxter Springs, Kansas on June 5, 1941. He was raised there along with his sister Oreta and brother Roy. He grew up to serve 4 years as a Navy Corpsman and landed his feet in California where he was stationed on Treasure Island. Soon after, he met his wife Nancy and went on to have two children Jeffrey and Jennifer.
He was a purchasing manager at Xerox and Logitech for the majority of his career and during his free time he would volunteer with the Boy Scouts. After his wife’s passing he opened a family business, a sign shop, and worked together with Jeffrey and Jennifer. When he retired, he moved to Phoenix to be close to his best friend Gary.
Three years ago he moved back to Newark to be close to his children and passed away on October 29, 2017. Bert loved music, plays, movies, camping, poker, the Raiders, traveling abroad, singing in the church choir and even performed for the Pope! He will be greatly missed. "

Services will be held at St. Edward’s Church in Newark, CA on Dec. 8th at 1pm. Burial and Final Blessings will be made after the mass at Holy Sepulchre Cemetary in Hayward, CA. Celebration of Life will be help in Newark, CA. Family and Friends are welcome to attend. Please feel free to reach out for more details.
