Funeral Expenses for Baby Matias

Baby Matias was born on Tuesday, December 19th, to Shannon and Naaman. He was healthy and strong, brininging joy to the entire family.  On Thursday, December 21st, he stopped breathing for unknown reasons. Despite the lifesaving efforts of his parents,  who provided CPR and rushed him to the hospital, he was unable to survive.  He left this world on Wednesday, December 28th, in the arms of his parents.
As many of us know Shannon and Naaman are raising three other beautiful children, which leaves little room for added expenses. Both parents chose to remain with Matias (Tay Tay) while the doctors at UCDavis attempted to treat him. This was a week long stay which incurred  many expenses, although both feel it was invaluable for them to be with him for his last days. Now they have returned home and are faced with planning a memorial service. As we grieve our loss as well as theirs it is my hope that we can come together as a community and help them meet the financial obligations that a funeral entails.
