Funeral expenses and Life expenses

Robert (DJ) Young was an old soul with a big heart. Although shy and timid at first, he made friends for life. DJ enjoyed ANYTHING outdoors and just recently, purchased a couple of kayaks and spent a lot of time on the South Chickamauga Creek, usually completing a 6hr/14 mile trip. Friday evening, DJ received news that he and the love of his life were FINALLY expecting their first child. Just a mere 16 hours later, he was no longer with us. Although we are traumatized beyond measure, we are so thankful he was able to receive that news before his accident. Families are very rarely prepared to bury a healthy young person. Samantha could've never imagined she would receive the absolute worst news of her life less than 24 hours after receiving the best. Our main objective is to ensure we are able to coordinate with a funeral home before he is released from the Medical Examiner's Office. We are desperate to see him. Secondly, we want to do everything in our power to ease any additional stress off Sam. That baby is a living piece of DJ and we want Samantha to be free to mourn our incredible loss , all while doing everything possible to keep her and baby healthy. There's no way she should have to worry about surviving financially right now.

We would like to say thank you to everyone who has donated, kept us and DJ in their prayers and especially all the people who held us up while we were looking for him and then shared the same heartache as we learned his fate. The large number of people there was a true, real testament to how beautiful and special DJ is. ❤
