Funeral Costs for Maria Palomino

My mom's best friend and her family are currently going through a very rough time and I would love to obtain some support from the community. Their mother received a simple cut on her foot which, unfortunately, became infected as a result of her diabetes. It turned into a staff infection and traveled through her blood, reaching both her heart and lungs. As a result of the staff infection, she was then diagnosed with pneumonia. Mrs. Palomino was complaining of back pain so she admitted to the hospital and given an MRI and during the MRI, she had a heart attack and the physicians were able to bring her back with the defibrillator after three minutes. The physicians brought her to the ICU. Within hours of the first heart attack, she suffered another bought upon being brought back, she had fallen into a deep coma. An MRI was conducted to determine brain activity and physicians stated that her brain is only exhibiting 1% activity; doctors stated that unfortunately at this point, nothing can be done and she'll never be able to recover. The family has been told that their mother will be taken off life support by Tuesday, July 18th and the family has had a lot of difficulty coping with the situation. Here's where the community can stand together and help bring their neighbor up in a time of need. The family doesn't have the means to pay for the funeral meaning the county is responsible for their mother's body. If the funeral is not paid for, the county will cremate the body and actually keeps it from the family, because it's considered their "property" at this point. The family is already grieving, especially in anticipation of Tuesday. I would love for us to all come together and be able to at least lift the burden of the funeral of the family so they know they can provide a proper goodbye for their mother and feel at peace knowing she was given a proper burial where everyone could share a final moment with her.
