Funeral costs for John Thorne

On Thursday 22nd February, Dad suffered what was believed to be a heart attack whilst eating his dinner. His heart stopped and a brave neighbour performed CPR until ambulance services arrived. However, it took 53 minutes to get his heart working again.
Dad was rushed to William Harvey hospital where NHS staff worked tirelessly to save him. Scans showed brain damage and severe pneumonia and, despite valiant efforts from the incredible staff at William Harvey, my Dad sadly passed away on Friday 23rd February, aged only 62.
As you can imagine, this was not expected and, as a family, we were not preparing to say goodbye to our beloved Baldy. It is therefore, with regret, that we are fundraising for his funeral.
My Dad also leaves behind a young family; any remaining money from this page, after my Dad’s funeral, will go to supporting my Dad’s partner who he loved dearly, and my two young brothers aged 13 and 8, who relied on my Dad.
I would, on behalf of my siblings, like to thank everyone for whatever they can offer to ensure Dad gets the send off he deserves.
