Sadaqah Jariah for Koshin Yusuf

The eyes shed tears and the heart feels pain, but we utter only what pleases our Lord.
إنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون
It is with an extremely heavy heart that I type these words. My dear older brother Koshin Yusuf has lost his life unjustly and returned to his Lord at the age of 26. Koshin was a man whose presence was a beacon of sincerity, generosity and kindness. A brother who had a smile so infectious even the burdened would share in his joy. A son who lost his father as a child but grew up to be the warmth of his mother’s heart. A caring, selfless soul that leaves behind a broken hearted family. Surely Allah does not burden a soul beyond what it can bear. I ask Allah to reunite my brother with our father in Jannatul Firdaws. We may be separated for this moment but I hope to see them both soon.
The Prophet ﷺsaid: “When a person dies, all his good deeds come to an end except three: ongoing charity, or beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who will pray for him.”
Koshin and I were both born and raised in Toronto, Canada. As his sister, I am asking for your generosity in helping my family to pay towards a Sadaqah Jariah (charity) project on behalf of my brother. We also ask for your kind du’as at this time.
May Allah (swt) have mercy on Koshin’s soul. May He the Most Merciful grant him Jannatul Firdaws Al-A’laa. May Allah (swt) widen his grave and make it a resting place for him. May Allah (swt) Make Him amongst the Shuhadaa and May He place sakeenah in my family’s hearts and grant them the sabr to endure this difficult time.
All the allocated funds that have been donated will be going directly to a specified charitable organization that deals with building wells in rural communities across Eastern Africa. I want my brother's memory to live on in the daily lives of all those who will be using the wells to access clean drinking water for themselves and their families.
