Funeral cost for Sonja Baker-Luft

Sonja, our beautiful 24 year old daughter was in a single vehicle accident in the early morning hours of Saturday, July 29th, as she was driving to work. Sonja had gone to school to be a pharmacist and when they started to work with medications she began to have seizures. She battled this issue for years. Sometimes several in a day and sometimes a whole month with none. Sadly, the ICU said she had a significant seizure while driving, losing control of the car, hitting a cable box first, then a big tree, rolling the car on its side.

 
The police called to tell us what happened and where she was taken. I stepped into the hospital just in time to hear a “code blue” called to her room. I wanted to run so fast but my walker and oxygen held me back. I heard the code blue announcement again and I couldn't get there fast enough. I was relieved when they called it off, but I soon learned it did not mean everything was okay. It meant she had not survived.


Sonja left behind a beautiful 3 year old baby girl, a boyfriend who will miss her, and a whole family that loves her very much.


I have started this GoFundMe page to help with final expenses for Sonja. Our family was not prepared for this. Sonja’s father is in hospice care for terminal cancer and I was already anxious with plans for his final expenses. Things are tight financially for us due to chronic medical issues affecting both of us. If you can help, we are most grateful. Thank you for allowing me to share this with you.
