Grieving Dallas family appeal for help after the Dad surrendered to his long fight with cancer.
Francis Thomas had been an enthusiastic, cheerful and hardworking man who took great care of his family when he met a fateful turn of his life in 2010.
He underwent a hip surgery after trauma and tear and wear of the area. The doctors diagnosed him with a soft tissue tumor classified as Chondro Sarcoma. The affect ed hip region including femur head and socket was completely replaced. The disease was presumably treated successful ly at the time.
As we all know, cancer cells as the greatest impersonators evaded his immune system for the next two years and came back aggressive ly around the local area and even to the distant mediastinum and lung.
Francis with unrelenting support of his wife put up a great fight seeking all the treatment options including chemo and immunotherapy at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. For the next several years the family went through enormous ordeals of emotional and financial hardships to treat metastatic Sarcoma and hoped for a possible remission.
Three weeks ago he was taken to the emergency for shortness of breath and pleural effusion and his oncologist examined the report to find it as a high grade sarcoma invading most his soft tissue areas, vital organs and brain. As his condition got worse last week, he was transferred to the life support system and on Sunday,January 19, he gave up his fight and succumbed to his prolonged fight with the illness. He was 52 years old. Francis is survived by his wife Jeena and his children Christina (17) and Crison (10).
At this hour of unimaginable crisis for the family, friends and well wishers seek emotional and financial support for the family to alleviate the pain and pull the bankrupt family out of the crisis.
