Funeral and cremation fee

Hi, my name is Amy, I am fundraising for my good friend - Mr Kiko who is in Intensive unit care of PA hospital waiting for his old father coming to Australia tomorrow from Taiwan to handle his funeral arrangement. He stopped breathing due to epilepsy in the middle of drinking water last week in his friend’s home, and he was choked badly by water. During covid period, the ambulance could not look after emergency case efficiently, it took 17 mins to arrive to the place where he was. This made his brain short of oxygen for too long. At moment Kiko is still breathing in the hospital with a lot of supports by the machine. After the meeting in the hospital, PA will keep those machine running until Kiko’s father sees him to say goodbye in person. Kiko’ father is on the way coming to Australia now by flight. He has a disability brother in Taiwan, hence his mother needs to look after his brother alone in Taiwan, and it’s very sad she cannot come over to Brisbane to see him in person. In addition, they did not have sufficient funds to pay for a lot of money for flight travelling and quarantine in Taiwan after finishing funeral ceremony. We haven’t decided to choose what type of funeral Kiko’s father to decide. We have contacted Taiwanese embassy in Brisbane to know the cost for funeral and cremation, it will be between $1500 and $6000 Australian dollars depending on the budget to give Kiko the good funeral ceremony in AustraliaI. I am very sorry Kiko is now only 35 years old, and the first thing his father is doing once he arrives in Australia is crying loudly in the hospital instead of enjoying the great moment with his loved son. I have been known Kiko since he was 23 years old who used to be an ambitious and optimistic young man wants to study and migrate in Australia to change his life. He worked very hard to make money to pay for tuition and living fee in Australia, and I hope all of us can give his family some supports to overcome the hard time. All the memories he gave us are happinesses. We love Kiko and miss him very much!
