Funds towards our Community Recycling scheme

We run a Community Recycling Scheme to ensure 'hard to recycle' items are sent for appropriate processing and kept within the UK - whilst raising cash for Local Charities.

We supply and run Community Hub near the Centre of Stafford and accept many items of single use plastics, packaging from personal care, laundry and household cleaning.

These items are sorted by our volunteers and sent to organisation who process and reuse the materials to make new items such as children's playground surfaces and park benches etc.

Each item we send off is allocated a point, this gets transferred into cash for our nominated charities.

To enable us to continue this work there are ongoing costs involved - we have received council and government funding to set up the schemes initially but need help to ensure the running costs are covered.

These include purchasing packing tape to seal boxes that we send the recycling out in, pay for leaflet printing to help us reach a wider audience, training for co-ordinators to ensure best practice when recruiting and supervising our volunteers.

We are so grateful for the continued support we receive for our projects, members of the public who donate their recycling and the volunteers that help us sort, process and pack items ready to send off, helping us keep 'hard to recycle' items out of the environment and protecting our planet.
