Funds to Salvage Lost Items
Hello, my name is Yeimy and I was severely impacted by hurricane edia. The flood in NYC was the worst experience of my entire life. My partner (22) and I (20) literally lost everything we own. Already coming from humble beginnings, we started a life together in the Bronx N.Y investing everything we had into our education, preparation for our incoming baby Kleo and our place of living. The space took a couple of months to build from scratch and cost over $15,000 in materials alone. We had to watch the water destroy everything, all of our hard work and dedication right before our eyes. All of our newborns items, gone. We can’t keep any of it because of the bacteria and mold isn’t good for her health. The walls also all have to be stripped and rebuilt. We need a new boiler, heating, electrical and more to get ready for winter. The priceless sentimentals also didn’t stand a chance. We worked so hard, already facing adversity being young parents, working multiple jobs, both still in school and right now we are truly in a state of crisis. Time to start over.
