Help on bills.Construction comp damaged many homes

 A Go fund me page has never been something I feel comfortable doing, but was asked to make a page by the news reporter as she suggested it for the story she is helping follow about the company who has to take responsibility for paying the damage they caused my home and many homes in the area, during their mistake while the street was torn up as they were working on sewer lines etc. 

I own a home in the Holly Hills area of Denver.  A construction company began tearing up the street to do a project at Holly and Yale Avenue.  The project began during the pandemic.  The construction company made a HUGE  mistake on the project that caused my home and numerous homes to flood in the area. The slurry came through the sewer lines and contaminated my basement and numerous others homes. Basement, drywall, doors, and tiles had to be removed. My basement was basically completely torn out. Many personal items were damaged as well. 

I have not been able to use or stay in my home/basement since the problem occurred. I had thyroid cancer in 2013 and I catch lung infections easily so breathing the basement dust/damage, etc. is not good for me, as well as crews who had to come in and out of the house during COVID.

The estimates and bills to mitigate and restore my basement and damaged items are very very high, nearing $59,000+ and I am waiting for that construction company insurance to take responsibility and pay for the damage to my home.(as many home owners are waiting as well). 

This has been very stressful, its the worst time for this to happen, which there is no good time but during a pandemic makes it even worse. The factI and many people are waiting on the companies insurance to DO THE TIGHT THING and pay for the damages, is already become a battle. I had to call the NEWS to ask them for help to dig into this story and get attention on the damages and accident they caused and will continue to look into this story until they for pay for my home to be repaired to what it was before their damaged caused. 

This mess is affecting daily bills. The news asked me to make a go fund mepage to link which is something I have never done and was even uncomfortable in making this page, but many people told me to go ahead with one.
