Funds for Jessica's brain surgery.

Earlier this fall due to some worsening symptoms we took Jess in to the ER where following an MRI she was diagnosed with a Pituitary macroadenoma.

Pituitary adenomas are tumors of the pituitary gland that sits right under the optic nerves and controls hormone production in the body.

After a lot of testing the doctors do not think it is affecting her hormones or her eyesight yet, however because of its large size and proximity to her optic nerves it could eventually cause permanent damage to her eyesight or put pressure on her brain.

The neurosurgeon, neuropthalmologist and her endocrinologist are recommending surgery to remove the tumor within the next 4-6 months. Following the surgery Jess will be in the hospital for 3-4 days and will need 6-8 weeks of recovery.

Unfortunately Jess's position at work does not qualify for PTO or short term disability so we are needing some help to make sure rent, groceries and other bills are managed during the time off.
