Fundraiser for Study Abroad with Semester at Sea

Hi, my name is Brooke Mitchell, and I am a nursing student at Western Kentucky University. I am starting this fundraiser to raise money for the study abroad program I have been accepted to, Semester at Sea. This study abroad program is an extraordinary experience where I will have the opportunity to travel to 11 countries over the course of this upcoming academic semester. During this time, I will be embarking upon a ship that will also function as my classroom, where I will remain a full-time college student. Throughout the semester, I will be traveling to countries in Europe, Africa, and Asia. Below, I have attached an image of our route and the countries included.

I hope to participate in this program because it is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I have always been interested in traveling the world and experiencing new cultures, and Semester at Sea gives me the chance to do so while continuing my academic career. Semester at Sea will allow me to accomplish my goal of traveling the world while also developing a new global perspective and experiencing new cultures. I cannot wait to take part in this voyage!

I plan to use the funds from this fundraiser for the program costs, including tuition, housing, meals, and extraneous fees. I have also applied for multiple scholarships and will be working two jobs this summer to help pay for the rest of this adventure.
