Fundraising to buy a defibrillator

Hello everyone, my name is Becky and I am fundraising to be able to buy a defibrillator for the local community.

 

On 22nd August 2021, my family and I’s life changed forever when I lost my Dad Simon aged 54 years when he had a cardiac arrest out in the community.  As far as we’re all aware my Dad was fit and healthy and incredibly active. A tragic event.

 

I would like to be able to buy a defibrillator for the location at which he passed away ( Stansted- Cambridge Road) as there are currently none available nearby and the area is quite rural.

 

It is well known that along with good quality CPR that early defibrillation is key to a better patient outcome and helps increase the chance of survival.

 I would like to help other people if this was ever to occur in the area again and to also help prevent other families going through what we have as a family.
