Fundraising for FIP treatment for my cat FALCON

Donation protected

Hello everyone, I am making this account for help in getting treatment for my
adopted cat, Falcon. He’s two year old and was recently diagnosed with Feline
Infectious Peritonitis or FIP. Absent any form of approved treatment, it is
100% fatal and euthanasia is always recommended. It is not a pleasant
death. The disease is usually fatal and, in Falcon's case, caused high fever, lack
of appetite, lethargy and a large build-up of fluids in the abdomen. He quickly lost 2 pounds
in just 10 days and stopped eating and drinking, and if we had not reacted very fast I am afraid we would have lost him. It is caused by a type of virus called a coronavirus, which tends to attack the cells of the intestinal wall. FIP manifests in a “wet” form and a “dry” form. Falcon has “wet” form.

But we found a cure, it's called Mutian. It is not cheap and changes as the cat progresses.
It’s 84 days of medication then an 84-day observation period. Between medication, bloodwork, and testing the price tag is upwards of $10,000. Currently his dosage is 450mg/per day.

Falcon story
Falcon took my heart in the NYC shelter because he was meowing like crazy
trying to get out of his cage, and as soon as I opened it, he jumped into my arms
and purred himself to sleep near my neck! I also read in his history that he was
found starving and alone, in a parking lot. He was just 3 months old and I couldn't
let him go after that!

Falcon moved in with me and quickly adapted to life as an indoor kitten. I have
backyard as well so he loves to spend his days there. Before FIP he was energetic
and smart and played fetch with his favorite toy (a fish). He is full of personality
and fast as a rocket (that’s how I named him Falcon – SpaceX). He loves to relax
and watch the birds outside too. We were in the process of leash training him
when he got sick. Then our life went upside-down.

Falcon is now on day 39 of medicine and is full back to his old self again. It is like
a miracle drug! His belly is back to normal size, and he is jumping and playing
again. He also gained back his weight but we need even more medicine now, since dosage is adjusted by weight.

My boyfriend and I financed all the treatment so far, but we are afraid that with another lockdown we won't be able to keep our jobs and afford the rest of the treatment.

Please help us if you can, even $1 is greatly appreciated.
