Art and Poetry Competition For Young Adults

Tax deductible

Would you like to join me to raise funds for an art and poetry competition for young adults? This event is in aid of Sir Norman Lamb Mental Health and Well-being Funds through the Norfolk Community Foundation to support young people and raise awareness of mental health and well being issues faced by young adults. The influence of mental health well-being on our health and quality of life is significant. Artistic creativity is known to have beneficial effects on our mood and so I would like to invite you to promote and support the young creative people in our community.

Young people living in Norfolk are invited to take part in an art and poetry competition. The theme of the competition is “Nature and environment”, reflecting the mental health awareness theme for 2021. The competition will be free to enter and the judges are from this region’s art and literature community.

I believe this competition will give young people an opportunity to creatively express how they feel about the connection between nature and environment and well-being, especially having been through the lockdown experience. Following the end of the competition in July 2021, the public will have an opportunity to view and buy submitted art, appreciating the creative efforts of the young people in Norfolk.

I value your support and every donation will be a tremendous help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause, which means a lot to me.

The Norfolk Community Foundation are working with Sir Norman Lamb to support the mental well-being of children, teenagers and young adults through the Sir Norman Lamb Mental Health and Well-being Fund. Sir Norman is one of the UK’s most tireless campaigners in the area of mental well-being and, with the launch of the Fund, aims to ensure equality, justice and human rights in our society for children, teenagers and young adults with mental ill health, those on the autism spectrum and also those with learning disabilities.

The Norfolk Community Foundation is an independent local charity helping ordinary people do extraordinary things that make our local communities thrive, and improve the lives of people who live there. We provide local funding and support that ensures that small local charities and voluntary groups can continue to grow, providing essential care, support and opportunities for the most vulnerable in our communities.
