Urgent Aid for Sudanese family residing in UK!

Hi! My name is Mai Abdalla, I am a sudanese-irish national currently living and working in the UK.

I was contacted by family friends residing in the UK who urgently need our help. I am setting up this GoFundMe on their behalf.

I would like to raise funds for Urgent aid to this Sudanese family of four with two children in Newcastle.

Alaa, her husband and two children were evacuated from Sudan during the war with only the clothes on their backs. They have been given a place to stay in the UK. However, they’ve cut Alaa’s universal credit as they await her visa (may take 3-4 months). The mother is struggling financially as she’s unable to work without affecting her universal credit and the father is a UK pensioner on a very small pension of £600. The children are struggling to go to school without winter clothes and they need beds to sleep on. They are barely keeping up with food expenses.

We’d like to raise a total of £3000 for them urgently. £750 for each month for expenses (which will be used to buy beds, winter clothes, school supplies and food) until the mother receives her visa and can start working.

All funds raised will be sent directly to Alaas bank account to provide aid to her family urgently!
