Fundraiser: Luke's Honors Program at Musikverein

Hi, my name is Luke Kneller and I have been selected for the 2022 High School Honors Performance Series. I am a sophomore at Summit High School and will be going to Vienna, Austria this summer for an amazing opportunity to perform at the Musikverein with other selected Finalists! The High School Honors Performance Series brings together exceptional student performers from around the world – this year’s Series includes 200 students from the United States, China, Canada, and Qatar!

Marion Gomez, Program Director for the Honors Performance Series said, “We processed nearly 10,000 nominations this year and have selected 200 of the most talented student performers from around the world. Working with these conductors and performing at the Musikverein is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that these musicians will never forget.”

I will have the opportunity to study under master conductors, work with other elite musicians, and perform at the Musikverein. We spend a total of 6 days together in Vienna. Here are some of the exciting activities that are planned:

• Perform in the exclusive Honors Performance at the Musikverein on Monday, August 1, 2022, under the direction of world-renowned conductors

• Work with master conductors and build a performing resume

• Attend a classical Viennese performance, see famous sites, and experience the excitement of Vienna

• Rehearse and interact with Finalists from across the world

In order to take part in this opportunity, I need to raise at least $5,500.00 by early Spring for the tuition / program fees and travel expenses for myself alone. Please help me by sponsoring a portion of my trip. Any contribution you could make would bring me that much closer to this once-in-a-lifetime experience ($25, $50, $100, $200, or Other $??, etc). If the fundraiser exceeds the above wish for my portion, additional proceeds will go toward having my family be able to join me in Vienna to support me and see my performance in person.
